Retail Marketing Specialist-NA

DESCRIPTION:

POC is a Swedish company with a strong mission to protect lives and reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes and anyone inspired to be one. The Retail Marketing Specialist will play a key role in spreading our brand mission, increasing brand awareness, executing go-to-market plans & campaigns, and helping to expand our audience within our WHSL network (e-tail and B&M).

The person will play a critical role in the effectiveness of POC’s marketing efforts and will work closely with the Marketing Manager, the brand team and the sales team.

TASKS

  1. Build up strong network with our WHSL network and a close relationship with our sales team, to identify and execute instore marketing opportunities (shop windows, shop in shop areas, POS/POP placements…)
  2. Be the first contact for our B&M partners and sales team when it comes to POP/POS placement or shop in shop integration, as well as leading the planning and execution of in-store implementations
  3. Work together with our retail and sales network and develop floor plans for POC retail spaces and ensure POC displays are situated in an ideal position to encourage sales
  4. Planning, preparation, execution and performance tracking of the annual marketing campaigns with POC´s key accounts, in close alignment with the POC sales team and considering a balance of the given objectives (Brand Awareness, Consumer Engagement, Sell-Trough) and the accounts possibilities (campaign pages, Newsletters, social activation, digital banner, sponsored products, …)
  5. Support the Online Key Account manager and guide the sales team to ensure an advanced brand presentation on brand stores and product detailed pages (supplying the right assets/images to the partners team).
  6. Budget responsibility and tracking within the yearly retail marketing budget.
  7. Coordination, preparation and production of marketing and sales materials
  8. Get an expert of our B2B platforms and support maintaining the systems and communication to ensure we offer a great service to our customer (B2B communication, DAM system…)
  9. Working closely together with the Event & Community Coordinator and give support (preparing assets, brainstorm activation ideas, on-site support) for the 4-5 main events per year.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  1. 1-3 year of work experience in retail marketing (sports industry preferred)
  2. Willingness to travel extensively across the United States and Canada (25%)
  3. Basic skills in Photoshop and InDesign
  4. Have a passion for outdoor sports and a deep understanding of snow sports and cycling markets.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Strong service mind, highly organized, efficient, team player, proactive, and energetic
  7. Solid critical & creative thinking and problem-solving & analytical skills
  8. Understanding of wholesale sales practices & online sales
