Learn more about Clarity by POC™ goggle lenses
What makes a ski goggle lens give you sharper vision, and how do you choose the right one? In this video we explain Clarity by POC, our lens technology built to boost contrast, show terrain details and help you see better on the mountain in any light.

The POC Tarsal ski goggle lenses are Category 2 and Category 3, which is roughly 8–43% VLT (visible light transmission). Most colourways have a Category 2 Partly Sunny lens, and one has a darker Category 3 Sunny lens.
Category 2 (18–43% VLT) is a medium tint for partly cloudy to sunny conditions. It covers the Partly Sunny Orange, Blue, Navy Blue, Grey and Rose Gold lenses.
- Category 3 (8–18% VLT) is a dark tint for bright, sunny conditions. It covers the Clarity Universal / Sunny Cool Gold lens.
- The Tarsal is offered in regular fit and wide fit, with the same lens options.
- See all ski goggles to compare lens categories.
The Clarity Intense / Partly Sunny Orange lens is a Category 2 ski goggle lens for partly cloudy to sunny conditions. Its warm orange tint suits changing light across the mountain.
It suits mixed conditions, such as sun breaking through cloud.
It works for all-mountain skiing, where light changes between open slopes and trees.
For very bright, sunny days, choose the Sunny Cool Gold lens (Category 3).
The Clarity Intense lens uses Clarity by POC technology to give an enhanced visual experience, with high-definition vision across your full field of view. Intense is one of the Clarity tint intensities, along with Universal and Highly Intense.
Clarity by POC is built into the supplied lens to sharpen your view of the terrain.
The shallow-angle toric lens gives exceptional sharpness in the lower periphery.
The oversize frame extends down over the cheeks, so the field of view is extra wide.
Yes, the POC Tarsal ski goggles are designed to sit securely against a ski helmet. Silicone grippers on the inside of the strap help keep the goggles in place against the helmet.
The silicone strap grippers stop the goggles slipping on a helmet.
The soft, flexible TPU frame and triple-layer face foam help the goggles mould to your face.
The Tarsal sits on a wide range of face shapes, and the wide fit version suits a lower nose bridge.
Pair it with a ski helmet, such as the Fornix BC or the Obex Contour.
Yes, you can change the lens on the POC Tarsal, and replacement Clarity lenses are available. They are sold separately, since the Tarsal doesn’t come with an extra lens.
Watch how to change the lens on the POC Tarsal for a step-by-step demonstration.
Pick a lens category to match the conditions, such as Category 1 for flat light or Category 3 for bright sun.

- The wide fit frame uses its own additional Clarity lens, so check that the lens matches your frame.
The POC Tarsal ski goggles have an anti-fog treatment on the inner lens that helps reduce internal fogging. They also have treatments on the outer lens that keep your vision clear.
The anti-fog treatment on the inner lens helps reduce fogging.
The Ri-Pel treatment repels dirt, water, sweat, salt, oil and dust, and makes the lens easier to clean. It covers all lenses except Clarity Intense Partly Sunny Orange.
The anti-scratch treatment on the outer lens reduces the risk of surface damage.
