Introducing technical lines to clean, purposeful protection, the Obex Contour features Mips® technology for enhanced safety on the slopes.

With its in-mould PC construction and EPS liner, the helmet offers lightweight protection tailored for all-day comfort. Goggle ventilation chimneys allow heat to escape from behind your goggles for clearer vision. Front and rear vents ensure constant airflow through the helmet.

The Obex Contour features Mips®, adding rotational impact protection without compromising comfort or weight. The helmet has detachable ear pads and is fully compatible with the Obex Contour communication headset.

KEY FEATURES

Detachable ear pads give comfort across a wider range of temperatures.

The classic Mips Evolve Brain Protection System enhances rotational impact protection.

Goggle chimneys allow heat from goggles to escape through the helmet, minimizing goggle steaming.

The strong, durable PC shell gives a strong bond with the helmet liner for exceptional structural stability.

The helmet is compatible with the Obex Communication Headset and Obex Connect Headset.

PRODUCT FEATURES

EPS liner

The EPS liner gives optimised, lightweight protection.

360° fit system

A 360° adjustment system makes it easy to find a comfortable, secure fit.

Ventilated

Ventilation channels ensure optimised airflow through the helmet for increased comfort.

Goggle clip

A flexible clip at the rear of the helmet keeps goggles securely attached.

The main difference between the Obex Contour and Obex Pure ski helmets is rotational impact protection — the Obex Contour includes Mips Evolve technology, while the Obex Pure does not.

  • Obex Contour uses the Mips Evolve for rotational impact protection; Obex Pure relies on its PC shell and EPS liner without an added Mips layer.
  • Both share the same core construction — an in-mould PC shell bonded to an EPS liner — and are certified to EN 1077B and ASTM 2040

  • Both include the 360° fit system, detachable ear pads, goggle chimneys, and compatibility with POC's communication headsets

  • Obex Pure sits in the range as the simpler, no-Mips option for riders who want the core Obex construction without added rotational-impact tech

DISCOVER OBEX HELMET SERIES

Yes — the Obex Contour ski helmet is compatible with two POC headset accessories.

  • Works with the Obex Communication Headset

  • Also works with the Obex Connect Headset

  • Fits into the ear pad area without requiring any modification to the helmet shell

The detachable ear pads still function normally with either headset fitted

The Obex Contour ski helmet is designed to adjust across a range of conditions rather than being fixed for one type of weather.

  • Ventilation channels through the shell increase airflow on warmer days or during high-exertion descents

  • Detachable ear pads can be removed in milder conditions or refitted for cold, exposed terrain

  • Goggle chimneys vent warm air from your goggles to cut down on fogging, separately from the main ventilation

The 360° fit system lets you readjust the fit if you're wearing more or less underneath as conditions change through the day

The advanced protection in the Obex Contour ski helmet comes from the Mips Evolve technology working together with the shell and liner as one integrated system, rather than as a bolt-on feature.

  • Mips Evolve targets rotational impact forces from angled falls, which are more common in real crashes than straight-on hits
  • The in-mould PC shell bonds directly to the EPS liner, combining structural strength with energy absorption in a single build
  • EN 1077B and ASTM 2040 certification form the baseline, with Mips Evolve added on top of — not instead of — that standard
  • Built under POC's whole-helmet concept, where safety, performance, and design are engineered together
