POC AND MARCO ODERMATT RELEASE NEW COLLECTION

Ahead of the new ski season, POC and Marco Odermatt are proud to release a new and expanded Marco Odermatt Collection, featuring his signature lion design across six new pieces, now elevated with a striking golden colourway that reflects his achievements and career to date.

Marco has often talked about how he was inspired to ski as a youngster, and how he followed his idols and how they influenced him. It’s a large reason why inspiring and being a role model to the next generation of skiers is such a privilege and his focus on young skiers is as strong as ever.

Commenting on the new collection, Marco Odermatt said – "The lion has been with me since I was a young skier as a symbol of power and agility. But it also reminds me that success depends on a lot of hard work and training, and I tell myself often to reflect and enjoy this life and journey as it is such a privilege. This next chapter of my POC Collection, in all black and gold, is another step in that journey and it feels like a real reflection of what I‘ve achieved so far in my career, and I'm proud of what it represents.”​

Marco’s skiing is inspirational, partly down to his unparallelled success, but he has never lost sight of the next generation and is committed to giving young athletes the same design and protection he relies on himself. Be it from race-ready eyewear and helmets to everyday apparel.​

POC has been working closely with Marco since 2018 and the new collection is the fifth in the series of special editions that POC has designed together with Marco. It is a flourishing partnership that has inspired many skiers and products over the years, so much so POC and Marco have agreed to continue their partnership for another four years, until 2030. It is a commitment that will take POC and Marco through many competitive objectives and lead to an evolution in product development.

COLLECTION DETAILS

The new collection follows Marco from the start gate, to the summit, and the relaxed days on the piste. The Skull Dura JR Marco Odermatt Ed. provides younger racers with the protection and safety technologies designed to keep them safe as they develop the skills and confidence to reach the pinnacle of the sport, and all whilst featuring the lion and gold and black colorway designed with Marco. Featuring many of the safety technologies found in the Skull Dura X adult helmet, the Skull Dura JR Marco Odermatt ed. encapsulates protection tailored for racing. Race Lock, a multi-impact EPP liner and durable ABS/PC outer shell keep younger skiers protected in this FIS RH 2013 certified race helmet.

Away from the clock and gates, Obex Contour Marco Odermatt Ed. is built for every corner of the mountain, from early morning groomed pistes, low light tree runs or backcountry lines. Its sculpted silhouette pairs Mips® rotational impact protection with a lightweight in-mould construction perfect for long days on the mountain. It is also compatible with POC's Communication and Connect headsets for skiers who want protection and connection in one helmet.

On the race course, the Zonula Marco Odermatt Ed. carries his signature lion onto the strap alongside the wide field of view and Highly Intense Clarity lens that keep his vision precise and detailed for every gate and snow texture, built from frame and strap materials that are 47% bio-based and lenses that swap out in seconds, it’s the goggle for racers who refuse to compromise on performance.​

The Fovea Marco Odermatt Ed. takes the same Clarity lens technology Marco trusts on race day together with a frame that moulds comfortably to any face, so vision stays sharp whatever the light. The mountain can change conditions in a second which is where the Clarity lens is critical and the triple-layer face foam provides comfort in all weather. Scaled down for smaller faces and junior racers, the Fovea Mid Marco Odermatt Ed. carries the exact same details and technology as the regular Fovea edition in a reduced size frame, giving the next generation the ability to have the same trust in their vision and ability to see all details on the slope.

For on and off the slope the Neck Warmer Marco Odermatt Ed. is reversible and soft against the skin, warm enough for the coldest days building up to race pace and perfect to keep the chill at bay, while the Know Marco Odermatt Ed. sunglasses bring an everyday life component to the collection with a lightweight bio-grilamid frame and nose pads that grip through rain or sweat, the perfect companion to any travels, on the mountain or in the valley.
