We are looking for a finance professional with strong operational expertise within Accounts Payable who enjoys working independently, taking ownership, and managing a high volume of transactions with accuracy and structure. In addition to the Accounts Payable process, the role also includes payroll administration and HR-related finance processes for around 70 employees, in close collaboration with HR and external payroll providers.

The job

As an Accounts Payable Accountant at POC, you will be part of the Finance team based in Stockholm. This is a hands-on and operational role with primary responsibility for managing the Accounts Payable process for our two Swedish entities, ensuring an efficient, accurate, and well-controlled workflow from invoice receipt to payment execution.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with operational finance processes in a structured and accurate way. You take ownership of your work, work independently, and have a natural ability to identify opportunities to strengthen workflows and controls.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of finance processes in an international organization and work closely with stakeholders across the business.

In addition, the ideal candidate should:

- Have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience

- Have good skills in Microsoft Office and a good general understanding of ERP and related systems

- Have experience working in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or ExFlow is considered an advantage

- Be fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken

The candidate will join a finance team in Stockholm and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the global organization. The role reports to the Team Lead, Operational Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the Accounts Payable process for our two Swedish entities, from invoice receipt to payment execution
  2. Ensure efficient AP workflows with appropriate controls and timely processing
  3. Manage supplier invoices, approvals, reconciliations, and payment runs
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data related to Accounts Payable
  5. Support month-end closing activities and related accounting tasks
  6. Responsible for payroll administration and payroll coordination in close collaboration with HR and external payroll providers
  7. Follow up and ensure time reports are submitted and approved on time
  8. Verify payroll files, register salary payments in the bank, and book payroll files
  9. Support and participate in projects related to AP processes, payroll administration, and finance operations
  10. Contribute to the development and optimization of AP and payroll-related workflows and routines

Personal characteristics:

We are looking for a structured and detail-oriented finance professional with a minimum of five years of relevant experience within Accounts Payable or operational accounting.

To succeed in this role, you are comfortable working independently in a dynamic and transaction-heavy environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and structure. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and motivated by creating structure and maintaining high-quality finance operations.

You are also collaborative, communicative, and service-minded, with a positive and professional attitude. You enjoy working closely with colleagues across functions and are comfortable working towards deadlines.

Working at finance:

You will join a hands-on and collaborative global finance team of approximately 12 colleagues across Sweden, the US, and Austria. The team works closely together across functions and geographies, with a strong focus on supporting the business in a pragmatic, solution-oriented, and team-driven way.
