Product description
The new Barocon Carbon downhill and freeride helmet is there to keep you protected in the most demanding situations, where your focus needs to be on your line choice 100% of the time.
Made to give extra protection in higher speed impacts, the helmet is tested to the NA DOT safety standard for more security with greater impact forces.
Other standout features include a multi-directional breakaway peak, which easily snaps away from the helmet when the helmet is exposed to frontal or side impacts.
Constructed from a carbon fibre outer shell moulded to an EPS liner, the helmet offers lightweight strength and durability, and is comfortable to wear all day. Ventilation channels throughout the downhill helmet work to ensure air flows across your head while riding for improved comfort.
Mips Evolve enhances rotational impact protection, and removable cheek pads make it easier to get the helmet off after an accident.
Ear chambers work to improve balance and hearing, and the helmet size is easy to adjust by using the supplied extra padding.

PRODUCT FEATURES

The Barocon Carbon is built for downhill and freeride riding, where impacts come at higher speed and consequence.
Why it stands out:
Carbon fibre outer shell moulded to an EPS liner for lightweight strength and durability
Tested to the NA DOT safety standard for added security in higher-speed impacts
Mips Evolve is integrated into the liner to reduce rotational forces in angled impacts
Multi-directional breakaway peak snaps away from the helmet on frontal or side impacts
Mips Evolve is a rotational impact protection system built into the Barocon Carbon's liner that works to enhance rotational impact protection.
What it means on the trail:
Works alongside the EPS liner rather than as a separate add-on layer
Designed for the angled, high-speed impacts typical of downhill and freeride crashes
Pairs with the carbon shell's in-mould construction for combined linear and rotational protection
The carbon shell is moulded directly to the EPS liner so the materials bond as one structure, offering lightweight strength and durability rather than a traditional construction of a shell glued to the liner afterward.
Construction advantages:
Moulded bonding creates a stronger, more lightweight sandwich structure
Tested to the NA DOT safety standard for greater impact forces
Comfortable to wear all day, suited to repeated, high-consequence downhill and freeride riding
The Barocon Carbon uses a D-ring closure with a reliable fit system to keep the helmet stable through rough, high-speed terrain.
Key fit features:
D-ring closure offers a more precise, adjustable hold than a standard buckle
Internal channel design supports a secure, low-movement fit even during hard impacts
Mips Evolve layer requires correct sizing to function as intended
Yes, the Barocon Carbon is designed so the goggle strap doesn't block any ventillation ports, keeping airflow uninterrupted during intense efforts.
How ventilation works:
Large internal channels move air through the helmet during heavy exertion
Strategic vent placement is positioned to stay clear of the goggle strap
Designed to keep the head cool across intense efforts
Pairs well with POC MTB goggles
