Position Overview

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark by managing and growing relationships with key accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the Scandinavian markets, cultural nuances, and strong business acumen to deliver exceptional results.

The KAM will act as a direct, dedicated point of contact for high-potential clients, ensuring personalized service, trust-building, and strategic solutions. By combining local market expertise, language proficiency, and geographic proximity, the KAM will contribute to achieving POC’s growth objectives in Scandinavia.

The position reports to the Country Manager Scandinavia, who will provide strategic guidance and support. The role will be fully integrated into the local sales team, fostering close collaboration and alignment to achieve regional goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Account Management & Revenue Growth

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

- Develop tailored strategies for each account to drive revenue growth through upselling,
cross-selling, and strategic partnerships.

- Identify untapped opportunities within the region to expand POC’s market presence.

- Meet and exceed sales targets, delivering sustainable growth across the Scandinavian market.

2. Strategic Market Development

- Gain deep insight into regional trends, market dynamics, and consumer behaviors in cycling, snow sports, and outdoor categories.

- Work closely with the Scanndinavian team to align strategies for activation, visibility, and growth.

- Execute account-specific campaigns, activations, and events to increase market share and brand recognition.

3. Cultural Understanding & Communication

- Communicate effectively in local languages (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) to enhance relationships and build trust.

4. Geographic Coverage

- Manage key accounts across three geographically distinct markets:

- Travel extensively across Scandinavia to conduct face-to-face client meetings, attend trade events, and strengthen partnerships.

5. Team Collaboration & Operational Efficiency

- Work closely with the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

- Provide key insights and updates to management regarding account performance, market trends, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

- Experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the sports, outdoor, or cycling industry.

- Proven track record of managing and growing high-value accounts, driving revenue, and achieving targets.

- Deep understanding of the Scandinavian markets, including cultural nuances, geography, and consumer preferences.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish).

- Strong analytical skills to identify growth opportunities and develop data-driven strategies.

- Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and manage a large geographic territory effectively.
