Building on the VPD Max Vest backplate, the VPD Max Race Vest utilises a thicker composition in the centre of your back, reaching up to 30mm at the spine before tapering outwards to the thickness of the standard VPD Max backplate. This V-shaped profile enhances flexibility and allows the vest to sit closer to the body, creating a smoother, more stable fit.

A new Lycra fabric with horizontal stretch increases stability across the torso, while still allowing you to move freely. The vest also features a removable waistband, so you can choose between a more secure, locked-in feel or a more relaxed fit.

On the back of the vest, a 3D mesh layer enhances comfort, while an airtight membrane over the backplate reduces air permeability and helps maintain the protector’s smooth outer shape.

Certified to EN1621-2, Level 2 standards, the VPD Max Race Vest combines maximum protection with a close, ergonomic fit that moves with your body, giving you complete confidence wherever the mountain takes you.
