Wireless Personal Information Carrier (WPIC) technology gives medical personnel instantaneous access to medical data without any physical contact. Extending this technology to the general population can simplify medical examinations and provide instantaneous access to medical data in emergencies. The technology can also be extended to nonmedical and wireless databases. POC has developed WPIC using our own proprietary lossless or perceptually lossless data / image / voice and video compression. WPIC features a hybrid power supply that combines low power operation with on the fly wireless activation. Battery life is extended significantly by powering WPIC down during inactive periods. Fast data transfer helps extend battery life by minimizing on time. The ultra high effective data communication rate is achieved by modifying Bluetooth technology up to 2 Mbps.

Schill Compression
POC has developed a unique Perceptually Lossless compression for data, images, video, and voice which are utilized in the WPIC system. The compression approach is known as SCHILL “Soft Computing HypercompressionInteractive Lossless and Lossy” which achieves very high resolution, even at low bandwidths. SCHILL can achieve compression ratios (CR) over 5 : 1 for data, 30 : 1 for images and 250 : 1 for video.
Encryption
POC uses FIPS 140-2 encryption in compliance with DOD requirements.
